Almost 19 months

Aiden is all booked in for his eye surgery on March 13th. He is now basically cross eyed all the time. The patch has been doing its job and his right eye is turning in too. This is what they need in order to operate.

Just when we were sure that Kate and Aiden would never get a job as a disc jockey we now have some words. Kate says, "eyes" and a very individualistic version of "nose". She also shrugs her shoulders with palms upturned and says a cross between "Gone" and "Don't know". Aiden says "up" when he wants to be picked up. They chatter all the time.

Aiden is loving dressing up in skirts and scarves. He runs around pushing his pink stroller with a very nervous Daddy looking on. Kate is a born drama queen who also loves to dress up.

What is really wonderful is watching their personalities really emerge. Kate is very funny and quirky. She is energetic and very caring. Aiden is cheeky and very determined. He is also very loving. At the moment they (mainly Aiden) are in the worst throes of separation anxiety that we have seen. If anyone comes to visit Aiden leaps at me terrified that I am going to go out. They scream the building down  when I leave them at the gym creche. Hopefully this will pass.
